The tunes below feature Alice Little (violin) and Danny Chapman (cello), and were recorded during a rehearsal in an underground studio on 14th March 2017.

Ffarwél Dinas Mawddwy was composed by Malchair in the 1790s. It is made up of a theme with two variations. He visited Wales three times, and made drawings of the small hamlet of Dinas Mawddwy on a number of occasions.

Antwerp Fair was composed by Malchair in E major. Here we've moved it down to D minor to take advantage of the natural resonance of the D string (and because we like minor). As Malchair wrote the tune for his three-stringed violin tuned in 4ths it is likely his 3rd string sounded an E, so would have achieved the same effect.
